Following our recent Executive Committee Meeting, it was agreed to reschedule the AGM to September 2025 and amend the constitution to set future AGMs between 1st and 30th September each year.
Reasoning:
· To better align the AGM with the Club’s financial year-end (30th June), allowing more up-to-date financial reporting to members.
· To ensure greater efficiency and transparency by presenting fully audited accounts close to year-end.
· To match common best practices in sports clubs and voluntary organizations.
· To ensure that the AGM aligns with the Seasons Calendar.
At the September AGM, we will:
· Approve the financial accounts for the period ending 30 June 2025.
· Propose a formal constitutional amendment to permanently move the AGM to the new timeframe.
· Propose a formal constitutional amendment to Safeguard the Future of the Football Club.
· Tidy up the Constitution in General.
· Acknowledge to members the reason for the timing adjustment and seek their approval.
